Royal Boat Detail provides professional marine detailing services throughout New York State and surrounding regions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling a service, paying a deposit, providing access to a vessel, or allowing Royal Boat Detail to begin work, the client agrees to these Terms and Conditions. Royal Boat Detail reserves the right to update these terms at any time.

2. Estimates & Pricing

All quotes provided online, by phone, or via text are estimates based on the information provided by the client. Final pricing may change after in-person inspection if additional labor is required due to:

  • Heavy oxidation

  • Excessive staining or mold

  • Extreme dirt or neglect

  • Inaccurate vessel size

Boat length is measured by Length Overall (LOA), which includes:

  • Swim platforms

  • Bow pulpits

  • Outboard brackets

Note: Trailer cleaning is not included unless explicitly added to the service.

3. Scheduling & Deposits

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure an appointment.

  • Clients must provide 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.

  • Appointments canceled within 48 hours, or situations where the crew cannot access the vessel, may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

4. Weather & Rescheduling

Because marine detailing is often performed outdoors, Royal Boat Detail may reschedule services due to:

  • Rain or storms

  • High winds

  • Unsafe working conditions

  • Extreme temperatures

We will coordinate a new appointment as soon as possible.

5. Payment

Full payment is due immediately upon completion of service. Invoices unpaid after 48 hours may incur:

  • A $25 late fee

  • 1.5% monthly interest on the remaining balance

Royal Boat Detail reserves the right to pursue collection efforts or place a mechanic’s lien on the vessel where permitted by law.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Ensuring legal access to the vessel

  • Obtaining marina permissions if required

  • Providing gate access or dock information

  • Removing personal belongings and valuables

Royal Boat Detail is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items left on board.

7. Vessel Condition & Limitations

Detailing services improve the appearance of the vessel but cannot repair structural or mechanical issues. Royal Boat Detail is not responsible for issues related to:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Failing gelcoat or paint

  • Oxidized surfaces

  • Loose decals or graphics

  • Aged canvas, snaps, or zippers

  • Brittle plastics or vinyl

Polishing and oxidation removal significantly improve appearance but may not restore severely degraded surfaces to factory condition.

8. Electronics & Equipment

Royal Boat Detail takes care when working around electronics but is not responsible for water intrusion or failure of:

  • Improperly sealed electronics

  • Aftermarket wiring

  • Speakers, gauges, switches, or lighting systems

9. Anti-Fouling Paint & Bilge Cleaning

  • Royal Boat Detail does not clean below the waterline when anti-fouling paint is present.

  • Bilge cleaning is cosmetic only. We do not pump or dispose of contaminated or hazardous fluids.

10. Ceramic Protection

Ceramic protection products provide enhanced surface protection and gloss but require proper maintenance. Environmental conditions, vessel usage, and washing habits may affect longevity. The specific lifespan of coatings cannot be guaranteed.

11. Safety & Hazardous Conditions

Royal Boat Detail reserves the right to stop work if unsafe conditions are present, including:

  • Unstable boat positioning

  • Sharp exposed hardware or props

  • Hazardous materials

  • Dangerous wildlife or infestations

Additional charges may apply for heavy contamination or biological hazards.

12. Satisfaction Policy

Clients have 24 hours after completion to report concerns. Royal Boat Detail does not offer refunds, but reasonable service issues will be addressed.

13. Liability Limitation

In the unlikely event Royal Boat Detail is found responsible for damage, liability will be limited to the amount paid for the detailing service.

14. Photography & Marketing

Royal Boat Detail may photograph vessels before and after service for marketing, portfolio, and promotional purposes. No personal information will be shared.

15. Service Areas

Royal Boat Detail operates as a mobile service and may provide services throughout New York State and surrounding regions. Travel fees may apply for locations outside standard service zones.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be handled within the appropriate jurisdiction in the state where services were performed.

17. Independent Locations & Franchise Operations

Royal Boat Detail may operate through independent operators, licensed partners, or franchise locations. Each location operates independently while maintaining Royal Boat Detail service standards.
